Well, this tutorial is about how to recover the lost mobile phone. There are actually, in two ways this can be done. First, you can track yourself on your own and on the other hand you can give your IMEI number of your phone to the law enforcement forces and track under the verge of them.
The first way works only if the robber doesn't remove your synced Google account from your device. Let us assume, for your luck, the robber may be a uneducated senior citizen, greedy woman or your hostel/apartment's watchman.

Method 1 : (Using Android Device Manager)
- First you need to overhead to www.google.com/android/devicemanager where you'll be prompted to accept Google's request for location data.
- There you'll see the current position of your handset along with the last time it was used.
- Now you can take a closer look at the features available. Beneath the device name there are three different icons - Ring, Lock, Erase.
- Ring - This option will make your device announce itself at maximum volume for five minutes even if it's locked and set to vibrate. This is particularly useful if you've lost it somewhere in the house.
- Lock -This option allow you to remotely create a new password for the lock screen.
- Erase - Essentially, it's a factory reset which removes all of your data from the device. Very effective in the event of a theft.
Method 2:
As you probably know, an IMEI number or the International Mobile Equipment Identity number is a 15 digit number which can be used to identify any mobile device uniquely. If you have mobile then first dial *#06# from your dialer to check IMEI number of your mobile. It is a unique number that is used to identify your mobile within the mobile networks. If you lost your mobile, and if above method doesn't work, then this is the number that you would need to provide to law enforcement bodies and telecom operators to permanently disable the services for the device with the number you have given.
- Login to your Google Account.
- Go to https://www.google.com/settings/dashboard.
- Click to expand the android section.
- In that list you will find the data about the android that is connected to that account.
- You will find the IMEI of the lost mobile.
This is just an easy way to find and retrieve the IMEI of the lost/stolen phone. In the case of iPhone, the IMEI number is printed on the box itself. And if nothing works, trace the phone's receipt - the vendor may have written the IMEI number of the phone on it at the time of sale.
