How to change app name and icon in Android

Wouldn't be nice if we can change the default name and icon of an app to look like an another app. The default launcher in many phones doesn't have this facility.

There are many launchers available in the android market having this facility. Of those, here I recommend the best launcher for many purposes.

Nova Launcher :

Download from play store: here

  1. After installing nova launcher, open up the app drawer (click the menu button).
  2. Long press an app and drag and drop over the edit option.
  3. Now you can edit the app name into whatever you want. Click the icon to change it too.
  4. Finally click the tick mark at the top left.
